Chattahoochee River
Upper Chattahoochee River
- Double nymph setup: Girdle bug, wooly bugger with any beadhead Soft Hackle.
- Sporadic BWO hatches: Last Chance BWO Cripple, Brooks Sprout BWO, and D&D BWO Cripples are working well.
- Large buggers, Sculpzillas, rabbit hair flies are working well too.
- Target the stockers with San Juan worms and Y2K’s.
Lower Chattahoochee River – Delayed Harvest opened Nov. 1st.
- DH Tactics: Y2k’s, BH soft hackles, buggers, blue assassins.
- Stripping black buggers with a prince or hare’s ear has been producing solid numbers.
Toccoa River

- CDC Sulphur, D&D Sulphur Cripple, Last Chance Sulphur Cripples on top with Harrop CDC Caddis Emergers, Elk Hair Caddis, and Transusclent Caddis Emergers
- For Nymphs, Hot Head Sow Bugs in pink, micro eggs, Psycho Princes, Purple Lightning Bugs, Deep 6 Caddis, Flash Back Pheasant tails, and UV Z Midges
- Streamers like Sculpzillas and Bellyache Minnows are producing BIG FISH

Ravens Fork
Cherokee Indian Reservation Trophy Stretch
- 2 miles of the Raven Fork within the Cherokee Indian Reservation (in Western North Carolina) is now open to FLY FISHING ONLY, CATCH AND RELEASE angling.
- A beautiful, crystal clear river which flows out of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Anglers must possess a valid Cherokee Indian Reservation Enterprise Waters Fishing Permit ($7.00) and the additional Special Use Permit ($20.00 annually) associated with Cherokee Trophy Trout, Catch and Release Waters.
- Zebra midges, copper John’s, pheasant tails, Barr’s emergers, Mercer’s micro mayflies, squirmy wormies, white or black woolly buggers, prince nymphs

River Delayed Harvest (NC)
- From October 1 through the first Saturday in June it is designated as “Catch and Release Only”. During these times it is heavily stocked – it actually receives more fish than any other river in North Carolina. It fishes good through the winter and really turns on as the air temperature warms in the spring.
- The river also has a good number on insects, especially in April during the Blue Winged Olive and the Black Caddis hatches.
