In March of 2026, several members of the Georgia Council of Trout Unlimited and Chapter leaders attended the annual TU Southeastern Rendezvous. This year’s event was held at Black Mountain in Western North Carolina. The Southern 5 Rivers Rendezvous was held in conjunction with this event. Everyone in attendance was impressed with the commitment, knowledge, leadership, and skills of the 5 River’s student’s. There were several fantastic breakout sessions & classes where TU leaders gained important information & ideas to improve their respective councils & chapters. In his keynote speech, Trout Unlimited CEO Chris Wood recognized the Georgia Council for hosting 5 Rivers students on camping & fishing trips.
