Each year the Georgia Council of Trout Unlimited (GATU) recognizes one young man or woman whose actions best promote the mission of Trout Unlimited. This prestigious award is presented at the Rabun Rendezvous, the Rabun Chapter’s large and legendary annual banquet in Dillard.

Unfortunately, the Rendezvous had been sidelined by the pandemic for a few years. Fortunately, the Rendezvous returned last Saturday and gave GATU the opportunity to recognize not one but THREE exceptional winners of the Young of the Year Award.

The 2021-2023 annual winners are Nathan Phillips of North Paulding County High School, Guy Eroh from the University of Georgia, and Avril Adams of Georgia Tech. Their records of youthful accomplishments show that GATU’s next generation of conservation leadership will be in excellent hands.

Please join us in congratulating Nathan, Guy, and Avril on their prestigious awards!
